 Show On The Road now has many school clients that have been hiring us for more than a decade. A number of banquet halls in the area know us as one of the major Prom DJ Companies. Abbington Banquets, Ashton Place, The Carlisle, Drury Lane & Signature Room are all halls we are frequently seen from April to June. Small schools like Montini Catholic, Eisenhower, Benet Academy & Lisle love us because of our affordability & quality. Larger schools like Naperville Central & North, Hinsdale Central, Lyons Township & Wheaton Warrenville South love us because of the numerous options & quality. Russ (the owner) tries to perform at most of the school events during the year. We actually beatmix our music during the night (not every song) so it sounds like you’ve walked into a major dance club. We also have a “banned song” list that you can always add to in case grinding is a problem at your school.

 This cost effective package is a sound & light show combination made available for your school dance. It includes a state of-the-art, concert quality sound system complete with a 5 foot trussing structure packed with lighting effects such as sound-activated colored flood lights, strobe lights, avengers, jewels, a mirror ball & a vertigo lighting effect. The light show will come to life with a light touch of fog (if requested) from our fog machine. One of the largest music libraries containing over 14,000 radio (clean!) song titles on our mp3 based computer system will be on hand for music requests from the students. Your entertainment staff will consist of one experienced, properly attired disc jockey that will act as the emcee using a cordless or corded microphone to ensure 100% flexibility & interaction with the students. There may also be an assistant on hand to help the emcee run things more smoothly during the dance. FOR OUR PROM CLIENTS
The DJ’s will wear tuxedos & we will also supply cocktail music for the first hour while the students are arriving. If your Prom has a sit-down dinner, the DJ’s will also go around to each table during dinner & ask the students for music requests for the dancing portion of the night. We can then determine which songs are going to be the biggest hits with the crowd that night. We’ll know what kind of crowd we have before the dancing begins. We can’t physically play every song but we get to the songs that have been requested the most. |
| Also, after the Prom is over, we type up all of the songs that were played during the dancing section of the night, and mail you a very attractive playlist that can be distributed to any students that might want a copy for their scrapbooks. We’ve even had some schools frame the list, put it up in the school hallway & people 20 years from now can see what was played at the Prom that year (wouldn’t it be cool to see what was played at the 1977 Prom?). |

PLEASE REMEMBER:
We never bring any unedited songs that have vulgarity in them. We have a special DJ Subscription service that only supplies us with the clean versions of today’s current music. Occasionally the students will own the dirty version of a song & sing the missing words during the dance, but we will NEVER play a dirty version. 65% of today's Top 40 music has vulgarity in it. It is our job to make sure we don't play those versions & to not play songs that are very blatant. Also understand that 80% of the Top 40 music today is Rap and R&B. We understand that as adults, you might not know half of the music that gets played at a dance, but it's guaranteed that the kids will know every song. We also have started up a “Banned Song” list for songs that received complaints (of the radio version too!) & we don’t want to deal with any embarrassment on your part or ours. |
